MP3 der Woche – Stars

Heutzutage hat jedes neu aufgenommene Album ein Problem: schon kurz nach Fertigstellung taucht es in den einschlägigen Tauschbörsen auf. Und das oft schon Wochen oder gar Monate vor dem offiziellen Veröffentlichungstermin. Und so entschlossen sich die Stars, ihr neues Album ab sofort über den US-iTunes Store und über den Label-Shop (MP3, kein DRM) zum Download anzubieten. Über 2 Monate vor dem CD-Release (24.September).

“As such, we are making the new Stars album available for legal download today, four days after it’s completion. […] We hope you will continue to support music retailers should a physical album in all it’s packaged glory be your choice of format. It’s our hope that given a clear, legal alternative to downloading music for free, you will choose to support the creators.” (Intro)

Meiner Meinung nach ein respektabler Schritt und in jedem Fall unterstützenswert. Darum heute aus dem neuen Album der Song “The Night Starts Here”. Und natürlich, weil er klasse ist.
