Arcade Fire haben einen Grammy gewonnen

…und zwar in der wohl wichtigsten Kategorie: Album of the Year!

Normalerweise bekommen diese in der Musikwelt wohl wichtigste Auszeichnung nur Künstler wie Lady Gaga oder Katy Perry (welche ebenfalls nominiert waren) zugesprochen. Schon die Nominierung war eine Überraschung, der tatsächliche Gewinn natürlich umso mehr. Ein toller Abschluss des für die Kanadier wohl erfolgreichsten Jahres. Auch wenn sie damit endgültig im Mainstream angekommen sind: ich freu mich.
