Im Februar verkündete Thom Yorke auf der Radiohead-Seite: We have made an app called PolyFauna. PolyFauna is an experimental collaboration between us (Radiohead) & Universal Everything, born out of The King of Limbs sessions and using the imagery and the sounds from the song Bloom. It comes from an interest in early computer life-experiments and the imagined creatures of our subconscious.

Diese App wurde vor ein paar Tagen mit neuer Musik aktualisiert. Es wird gemutmaßt, dass es sich hierbei um neue Songs von Radiohead handelt. Was natürlich zutreffen könnte, denn Jonny Greenwood ließ bereits verlauten, dass die Band ab September am Nachfolger zu “King Of Limbs” arbeiten werde. Bei den neuen Songs dürfte es sich allerdings um Songskizzen oder spezielle Kompositionen für die App handeln, denn bei aller Experimentierfreude kann ich mir diese Soundlandschaften auf einem Radiohead-Album nur schwer vorstellen. Wenn ihr euch für das neue Material von Radiohead interessiert, dann könnt ihr entweder die App (iOS / Android) herunterladen, oder ihr hört euch den Mitschnitt auf YouTube an. Ich würde allerdings die App empfehlen, denn schließlich handelt es sich um ein audiovisuelles Erlebnis.
