Anhören: Delay Trees – Doze

Anfang letzten Jahres erschien bei uns das selbstbetitelte Debüt der finnischen Delay Trees, welches mich absolut überzeugen kontte. Ende nächste Woche steht nun der zweite Streich an, welcher allerdings vorerst nur über Import erhältlich sein wird. Das sagt die Band selber über das neue Album:

‘Doze’ is very different from our debut album. Its beauty is uneven and sometimes hidden, the songs need more listening and there’s more room for extremes. This time we wanted to remove ourselves from the harmonious pop-song formula of our debut by widening our musical pallet and taking a few steps into the unknown. We gave improvisation a lot more room in the studio and in the songwriting process and tried to “listen” to our intuition more. (via)
