Microsofts iPod-Killer

Ach übrigens, hat eigentlich irgendwer noch nicht von dem zukünftigen iPod-Killer (ja ja, ich weiß, was soll ich machen?) aus dem Hause Microsoft gehört? Richtig, zum Weihnachtsgeschäft soll er kommen und die langersehnte eierlegende Wollmilchsau mit Riiiiiiiiesenbildschirm sein. Und Musik spielt er dann (hoffentlich) auch ab. Richtig beeindruckt von dem Gerät ist aber auch bei den ganz hohen Tieren der Plattenfirmen niemand.

Several sources recently described the player to Digital Music News, including high-level, major label executives present at a Microsoft demonstration. Off the bat, the executives were unimpressed, though they did point to a device that offers an oversized, color screen. “The screen is what people are going to be talking about,” one source said. Regardless, the player carries a rather “standard form factor,” including fairly conventional control buttons. And overall, the device reportedly does little to stand out from a raft of competitors, including those within the PlaysForSure family.
