Thom Yorke: neues Album “Tomorrow’s Modern Boxes” via Bittorrent verüfgbar

Ihr habt sicherlich von dieser ominösen Platte gehört, von der Thom Yorke und Nigel Godrich ein Foto bei Tumblr veröffentlicht haben. Es wurde vermutet, dass es sich hierbei um eine neues Radiohead-Album handeln könnte. Das Artwork im Hintergrund deutete allerdings eher auf ein neues Soloalbum von Thom Yorke hin, denn es erinnerte doch stark an die Arbeit von Stanley Donwood.

Jetzt ist klar: es gibt ein neues Album von Thom Yorke. Ab sofort verfügbar. Dabei geht der Frontmann von Radiohead wie immer ungewöhnliche Wege: das Album “Tomorrow’s Modern Boxes” wird via Bittorrent vertrieben. Nicht umsonst, sondern für € 4,72. Und zwar hier.

The files can be anything, but in this case is an ‘album’.
It’s an experiment to see if the mechanics of the system are something that the general public can get its head around …

Enabling those people who make either music, video or any other kind of digital content to sell it themselves.
Bypassing the self elected gate-keepers.
If it works anyone can do this exactly as we have done.
