Was die Nummer 1 angeht, hat die Abstimmung – wenn es auch kein zweites „Merriweather Post Pavilion“ gab – ein eindeutiges Resultat gezeigt. Wir sind überzeugt: Kaum ein Werk steht so sehr für das Jahr 2010 wie unser diesjähriger Spitzenreiter.

Die BBC Longlist ist da. 15 Bands, die nächstes Jahr euren iPod füllen werden. Auch heuer hat’s wieder ein paar “safe bets” unter den Nominierten.

Welcome to Listmas 2010! Listmas is an annual tradition on Faronheit that dates all the way back to the crazy year known as 2008. In previous incarnations, Listmas has lasted a total of 3 weeks across December, spending a whole lot of time counting down the year’s best EPs, reissues, movies, TV shows, songs and albums. It’s a hefty task, but also a whole lot of fun.

Spotify CEO Daniel Ek declined to comment on the U.S. launch of his company at the recnet D:Dive into Mobile conference. This has led to speculation that the much hoped for arrival of Spotify might not be coming this year. The reason for the delay appears to be rooted in licensing and negotiation problems of the free side of the service. Ek said, however, that when it does launch here, the service will cost $10 a month and that free usage is limited to 20 hours.
