Napster versucht schon seit geraumer Zeit, an den amerikanischen Unis Fuß zu fassen und die Studenten früh an sich zu binden. Aber laut The Register scheint sich das bisher nicht so richtig auszuzahlen:

[…] For the rental model to succeed, Napster and others would, er, have to turn a profit at some point. The companies appear to believe that a critical mass of consumers would deliver black ink.
